Is Are Capitalized in a Title?

Yes, the word are should be capitalized when using title case. It may have just three letters, but the only short words that are not capitalized in title case are
  • articles (a, an, the),
  • conjunctions (and, or, but, …), and
  • prepositions (at, by, in, …)
Are, however, is a verb, and verbs are capitalized according to every title case style. This rule applies to all verbs without exception, hence also to short verbs and auxiliary verbs (am, are, do, has, …). Consequently, are must always be capitalized in titles, as in these examples:
These Boots Are Made for Walkin’
Diamonds Are Forever
The Boys Are Back in Town
